Cola, citrus, tropical fruit – rum works well with many things but it loves spice, which, when blended with the natural flavours that are drawn from the rum by its time in the barrel, create something smooth, striking and delicious.
BACARDÍ Spiced contains an infusion of high-quality cinnamon and nutmeg blended with both aged and unaged rum by our master rum makers, the Maestros de Ron BACARDÍ. These mix beautifully with the smooth, warm and mellow flavours that are naturally drawn out of the rum itself.
BACARDÍ Caribbean Spiced, meanwhile, builds on our beloved spiced rum, with a blend of older rums and the addition of the classic Caribbean flavours of fresh pineapple, coconut water and the unique sweetness that comes from the delicate blossoms of the coconut tree itself.
Spiced refers to warm, comforting and exotic flavors, rather than a prickle of heat. As well as an infusion of cinnamon and nutmeg, BACARDÍ Spiced also has notes of vanilla and dried fruit that are naturally drawn out of the oak casks as the rum ages. Spiced rum is all about embracing these smooth, mellow and deeply satisfying flavours, however, if you want a hit of warmth, BACARDÍ Spiced also works beautifully with Jamaican ginger beer.

Just as with our other expressions, BACARDÍ spiced is a blend of different rum bases that have each been selected by our master rum makers – the Maestros de Ron BACARDÍ. These are then blended with spices into something soft, smooth and delicious.

Different markets define rum in different ways. In the USA, a blend of rum and spices can be called a Spiced rum. In Europe, however, a spirit cannot be described as a rum if it has had anything added to it, so it’s usually referred to as a spirit drink.

BACARDÍ is deeply rooted in the Caribbean and we wanted to express this through a rum that was based on iconic local flavours. No other ingredients are as closely linked to the Caribbean as pineapple and coconut. For that reason, Maestra de Ron BACARDÍ, Noidys Herrera, selected fresh pineapple juice, the water of young, green coconuts and the classic spices of vanilla and cinnamon, alongside the unique sweetness from the sap of the delicate blossoms of the coconut tree.
BACARDÍ Caribbean Spiced rum is made to a unique flavour profile. To achieve this, the Maestros de Ron BACARDÍ select from young rums (aged up to one year) alongside more complex rums that may have been aged for up to three years or older.
The coconut tree plays an important part in Caribbean culture where it is known as the tree of life. The sap from the coconut tree’s delicate flowers is harvested by hand and then baked to concentrate and caramelize its natural sugars. The result is a unique form of sweetness that is inextricably linked to the Caribbean.
BACARDÍ Caribbean Spiced is versatile and works beautifully with everything from simple mixers like cola or ginger ale to more exotic cocktails like Coladas, Daiquiris and Rum Punches.
